The use of TTT and CCT phase transformation diagrams to design processing routes of advanced high strength steels

ABSTRACT:

In the present work, TTT and CCT diagrams were used as a potential tool for designing an appropriate thermal treatment for manufacture of two AHSS steels. The CCT and TTT diagrams were simulated using the JMatPro software. DP and TRIP steels were obtained experimentally based on heat treatments proposed from the computational simulation. Processing time and cost can be sinificantly reduced by previos calculus of transformation diagrams with JMatPro.
